Phase 1: Initial Setup and Product Asset Preparation

Before integrating the VU Customizer, you must prepare your product data and visual asset

Create a Product Matrix:

Begin by capturdetails of your customizable products, including components, available materials, colors, options, and any business rules or constraints. This document is essential for defining your custom product offerings.

Prepare and Send Product Assets:

2D Visualization:

  • For 2D visualization, you must provide flat product photography of all variants, adhering to specific standards.

  • Images should be SVG (preferred), PNG, or JPEG, with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI, a 1:1 aspect ratio, sRGB color space, and a pure white background.

  • Consistency in angles, lighting, product positioning (centered, 80% frame fill), and file dimensions across variants is crucial.

3D Visualization:

  • For 3D visualization, you should provide physical product samples and, optionally, existing CAD files.

  • The preferred CAD file format is STEP (.stp), with .igs, .obj, and .dwg/.dxf as acceptable alternatives.

  • Physical samples are required for creating accurate 3D models, especially when CADs are unavailable or for soft-good products.

  • Documentation for physical samples must include the product name (required), SKU (optional), special handling instructions, and unique characteristics.
